Diabetes Statistics

Diabetes is a common condition that can contribute to illness, disability and early death. Diabetes is on the rise worldwide. It has been estimated that over 900,000 Australians have diabetes and about half of those are not aware that they have the condition.

Diabetes and its associated complications, which include heart, kidney and eyes diseases, affect the quality of life of a large number of Australians.
